WASHINGTON, July 7 U.S. Democratic Senator Chris Murphy said the coming week will be «absolutely critical» for U.S. President Joe Biden's bid for a second term.
After a fiasco in the debate with his predecessor and rival Donald Trump, Biden is trying to convince the Democratic «active» that he is the only candidate, despite his age and increasingly obvious signs of senility.
«Voters have questions… I don't know how much Friday's interview answered them, but I think this week is absolutely critical,» Murphy said in an interview with CNN.
The senator made it clear that he himself has faith in Biden, who on ABC convinced the nation of his professional fitness for another four years in the White House and said that only «God Almighty» would make him drop out of the race.
Next week, the president is hosting a NATO summit in Washington and is set to give a «big boys» press conference, as his entourage has described it.
