MOSCOW, July 9 Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will visit the Innoprom international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg on Tuesday, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The head of the Russian government, during a trip to Innoprom, will speak at the main strategic session “Technological partnership: the focus of international business.” Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda will also take part in its work.
Mishustin’s schedule also includes a meeting with the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Evgeny Kuyvashev. Deputy Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko, Alexey Overchuk, and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov will take part in the events of the trip.
Opening of UAE stand
The international industrial exhibition «Innoprom» has been held in Yekaterinburg since 2010. About 40 thousand people visit it annually. Previously, partners of the exhibition were China, India, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Italy, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
This year Innoprom lasts from July 8 to 11, and the partner country of the exhibition is the United Arab Emirates. The day before, delegates from the UAE solemnly opened their state’s stand at the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg, performing the traditional national dance Al-Ayala.
The UAE national exposition presents promising developments and priority areas of industrial and economic cooperation. Also, as part of the business program, a strategic business forum «Russia — UAE» will be held, at which experts will discuss joint projects already underway and prospects for expanding interaction in the field of industrial and technological cooperation.
An important platform for the exchange of practices
«Innoprom» is a very important platform for exchanging opinions and best practices, finding optimal ways to develop key industries, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation noted during his visit to the exhibition last year. During his speech at the plenary session, Mishustin then assessed the interaction of Russian business with foreign partners, commented on the successes of the Russian economy, noting that Russia is coping with all challenges.
Mishustin also spoke about the important tasks facing Russian industry. For example, the head of the Russian government spoke about the need to increase the sustainability of the production sector in the new conditions and reduce the impact of unfavorable external conditions, achieving full technological sovereignty in all critically important industries without exception.
The Prime Minister will most likely also speak about anti-Russian sanctions during his speech on July 9. Last year, Mishustin devoted part of his speech to this topic, noting that each segment of industry – from the automotive industry to power engineering – must have maximum resistance to sanctions. To do this, all major manufacturing industries need to reach a higher level of competitiveness. And the main guidelines for the further work of enterprises are the extremely deep localization of industrial products, saturation of domestic demand, and an increase in the export of value-added products.
