DONETSK, July 10 Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian troops have been shelling Gorlovka, including the city center, ten shells of 155 mm caliber were fired, the DPR representative office in the Joint center for control and coordination of issues related to war crimes in Ukraine.
«After 00:00, shelling was recorded from the armed formations of Ukraine in the direction: 01:40 — the settlement of Dzerzhinsk — the settlement of Gorlovka (Tsentralno-Gorodsky district): 3 shells of 155 mm caliber… 03:50 — the settlement of Dzerzhinsk — the settlement of Gorlovka (Tsentralno-Gorodsky district): 2 shells of 155 mm caliber,” the message says. 
< br />It is noted that in the morning the shelling resumed; at 7.30 and 7.50 five more shells were fired at the Nikitovsky district of the city.
The mayor of Gorlovka, Ivan Prikhodko, said that a direct hit from a shell damaged a service station located on Lenin Avenue and destroyed a car.
According to him, in the Kvartal 88 microdistrict and the village of Pobeda in the center of Gorlovka, houses and communications were damaged due to shelling.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
