Expert Karaganov: Russia does not need all of Ukraine, as it is morally burdensome
Sergey Karaganov, Academic Director of the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, said that Russia does not need all of Ukraine, since it is economically and morally burdensome.
“We do not need all of Ukraine. It is too burdensome, both economically and morally,” Karaganov noted.
According to him, Russia should receive a significant part of Ukraine’s territory after the conflict is over. He added that the state entity that remains from Ukraine should have a neutral status and be completely demilitarized.
Recall that Karaganov previously said that Russia should not drag out the conflict with the West in Ukraine for too long.
