MOSCOW, July 10 Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin arrived in St. Petersburg, where the BRICS Parliamentary Forum will be held.
“Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin arrived in St. Petersburg,” the press service of the State Duma reported.
The X BRICS Parliamentary Forum will be held at the Tauride Palace on July 11-12.
It is noted that at the meetings of the forum, parliamentarians will discuss the role of parliaments in increasing the efficiency of the system of international relations and ensuring its democratization, issues of countering the fragmentation of the multilateral trading system and the consequences of global crises. Aspects of interparliamentary cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres will also be touched upon.
In 2024, the chairmanship of BRICS passed to the Russian Federation.
