The identity of the attacker on Trump has been revealed
The identity of the person who attempted to assassinate former US President and candidate for this post Donald Trump was revealed — it was US citizen Thomas Matthew Crooks, American media report. As noted, he was armed with an AR-type sniper rifle and chose a shooting position at a distance of about 100 meters from the stage where Trump spoke.
Trump was wounded in the ear and, according to him, lost a lot of blood. Immediately after the first shots, the guards closed in on Trump. He later spoke about what happened: according to him, he heard the sound of bullets and shots, and then felt “like a bullet tearing his skin.”
It was previously reported that there was an attempt on Trump’s life during his rally in Pennsylvania. It later became known that a Trump supporter died during a shooting at a rally. In addition, it was reported that the attacker on Trump was killed, shot by security forces.
US President Joe Biden addressed the American people after the assassination attempt. He noted that he was glad to hear that Trump was safe and called on the entire country to condemn this act. The US Secret Service has launched an official investigation into the assassination attempt.
