Peskov: Putin will not congratulate former German Chancellor Merkel on her anniversary

Russian President Vladimir Putin does not plan to congratulate former Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel on her anniversary. This was stated by Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov.
On July 17, Angela Merkel turned 70 years old. She served as Federal Chancellor of Germany from November 22, 2005 to December 8, 2021. Merkel became the first woman to hold this position and the third longest reign in German history.
Earlier it became known that the politician would become the heroine of the new German detective series “Miss Merkel”. The project will be a humorous interpretation of Agatha Christie's novel «Miss Marple.»
The former chancellor in the series appears as a super detective living in Italy. According to the plot, she becomes bored with living in retirement, and she decides to start solving crimes.
