VOLGOGRAD, July 23 Ten streets and one microdistrict of the Kalmyk capital Elista were left without electricity due to bad weather, the city mayor’s office reports in its Telegram channel.
“»Today in Elista there were local technological disruptions due to unfavorable weather conditions, as a result of which the following were temporarily de-energized: Gorky, Dzhangar, Ippodromnaya, Budyonny, Gubarevich, Lenin streets (partially), 1st microdistrict (partially), streets Partizanskaya, Vitrazhnaya, Republican, Shkolny Lane,” the authorities said in a statement.
The mayor's office noted that the situation is under the special control of the city administration and power engineers.
According to Rosseti Yug, the company switched to a special operating mode in the republic, where heavy rain, hail and winds of up to 25 meters per second were forecast on Tuesday.
