The three-door version of the British brand presented today has differences in the exterior and interior design, but the technology is standard.
The Mini brand is owned by the Bavarian company BMW. The presentation of the fifth-generation Cooper hatchback took place in early September last year. The model is available with both internal combustion engines and fully electric vehicles (with the additions E and SE to the name), and by 2030 the manufacturer intends to switch exclusively to electric vehicles. At the end of last year, the company presented the “green” Mini Cooper SE with the addition of John Cooper Works. And now the petrol Cooper S has debuted in the JCW version.

The new version of the three-door received a number of differences in exterior and interior design. Thus, the Mini Cooper S with the addition of JCW was equipped with a differently designed splitter at the bottom of the front bumper, as well as a new rear diffuser. The hot hatch was equipped with a glossy black grille with the John Cooper Works emblem.
At the same time, the design of the branded “grill” echoes other elements of the exterior made of black glossy plastic: wheel arch trims, traditional exterior mirror housings, side skirts and a spoiler on the top of the tailgate. The model also has a black roof and pillars, which creates the effect of a “floating top”. Note that this option received the original 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, behind which are black brake calipers with the JCW logo.
The interior of the Mini Cooper S in the JCW version (for some reason the company did not publish pictures) has sports seats with a combined finish — black eco-leather and multi-colored fabric — with red stitching. The front panel has a pattern in the form of a black and red checkerboard. And the round OLED display of the infotainment system is the same as that of the standard Cooper S (diameter — 240 mm). jpg» />
The technology of the new version of the three-door is the same as that of the regular “Eski”. The John Cooper Works variant is equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol turbo-four, the output of which is 204 hp and the maximum torque is 300 Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive only. This hatchback needs 6.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to hundreds.
Mini Cooper prices S in the JCW version will be announced later. Note that on the British market a standard Mini Cooper S can be purchased for a minimum of 27,550 pounds sterling (equivalent to approximately 3.02 million rubles at the current exchange rate). Later, in the coming fall, Mini will present a full-fledged “charged” hatchback John Cooper Works.
Remember, Last spring, the British brand declassified a new small family crossover, which was called Aceman. So far, the model is available in two single-engine front-wheel drive versions. The base Aceman E has an electric motor output of 184 hp. (290 Nm), the top version of the Aceman SE received a 218-horsepower electric motor (330 Nm).
