Kremlin calls Orban a European troublemaker

MOSCOW, July 26 Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, having visited Moscow, became a «European troublemaker», although he did not talk about supporting Russia, but only tried to understand Russia's position on Ukraine, said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. A fragment of his speech at a meeting with participants of the New Media Festival is published by the Telegram channel «Workshop of New Media».
«Look, Orban has appeared, such a «European troublemaker», such a European enfant terrible. He did not say: «I support Russia». He said repeatedly that he does not support Russia. But he decided: «Listen, we are all talking about a settlement, but let's understand the positions of the parties, at least understand the positions, and then we will think about it, but we will understand from the original source,» Peskov noted, speaking about the Hungarian Prime Minister's trip to Moscow.
He recalled that Orban, along with Russia, also visited Ukraine and China.

«And he went to Kyiv, to China, and came to Moscow. So now the entire European Union is simply mocking him for this trip to Moscow,» the Kremlin spokesman added.

Orban arrived in Moscow with a delegation on July 5 and met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He called the visit to Moscow the next stage of a peace mission that began with a trip to Kyiv on July 2. He then visited Beijing, where he stated that Hungary is against confrontation with China and is in favor of cooperation between the EU and China.
