A man tried to set himself on fire on Red Square in Moscow, Mash reports, citing eyewitnesses of the incident. 360.ru also reports the same thing, citing an unnamed source.
According to them, the unknown person poured hot liquid on himself and set himself on fire. After that, the police threw him to the ground and put out the fire, and then cordoned off the area. The man is being interrogated, Mash claims.
According to Moskovsky Komsomolets and Mash, the person who tried to set himself on fire was 74-year-old Vladimir Arsenyev, head of the Volna Central Research Institute. He works with state defense orders. His company specializes in the development and manufacture of components for radio stations of the ground forces, aviation and the Navy.
