MOSCOW, July 26 Three-time Olympic medalist and six-time world champion Yulia Efimova took third place in the 100m breaststroke at the Russian Swimming Cup Final in Yekaterinburg.
Efimova showed a result of 1 minute 7.28 seconds. The winner of the swim was Evgenia Chikunova (1.05.26). Second place went to Tatyana Belonogoff (1.06.94).
Earlier in Yekaterinburg, Chikunova defeated Efimova in the 50m breaststroke, where the athletes took the same places.
The Russian Swimming Cup Final in Yekaterinburg will end on July 28. Earlier, the press service of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (VSF) reported that athletes who repeat or surpass the result of the Olympic champion in Paris in the same discipline in the Russian Cup Final will receive 2 million rubles in prize money.
