Earlier, Reuters reported that Hezbollah evacuated its facilities from the south and east of Lebanon.
On Saturday, the Israeli ambulance service reported that 10 people were killed in the strike on the Golan Heights, later the number rose to 12. Israel blamed Hezbollah for the strike.
A senior source in the Lebanese Shiite movement said that Hezbollah denied involvement in the shelling of the town of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Until 1967, the Golan Heights were part of the Syrian province of El-Quneitra, populated mainly by the Druze, a special ethno-confessional group of Arabs. During the Six-Day War of 1967 and the Fourth Arab-Israeli War of 1973, two-thirds of this strategic territory was captured by Israel.
