MOSCOW, July 28 Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen retains the lead in the overall Formula 1 driver standings after the completion of the 14th round of the championship — the Belgian Grand Prix.
On Sunday, Verstappen, who started 11th, finished fifth, while his competitor in the standings, Briton Lando Norris from McLaren, took sixth place.
Now the leader in the standings Verstappen has 275 points, Norris has 197. The following are in the top ten: 3. Charles Leclerc (Monaco, Ferrari) — 174; 4. Oscar Piastri (Australia, McLaren) — 164; 5. Carlos Sainz (Spain, Ferrari) — 160; 6. Lewis Hamilton (Great Britain, Mercedes) — 143; 7. George Russell (Great Britain, Mercedes) — 141; 8. Sergio Perez (Mexico, Red Bull) — 129; 9. Fernando Alonso (Spain, Aston Martin) — 47; 10. Lance Stroll (Canada, Aston Martin) — 24.
Red Bull leads the Constructors' Cup (404), followed by McLaren (361), Ferrari (340), Mercedes (284) and Aston Martin (71) in the top five.
The next round will be held in the Netherlands on August 23-25.
