MOSCOW, July 29. The commander of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Artem Khrystin, in an interview with journalist Dmitry Gordon* complained about Odessans for setting fire to cars of Ukrainian soldiers
«It hurts me a lot when I see all the cases, even today, when military cars are burned in Odessa, when disrespect is shown to the military,» he said.
When a journalist asked whether there really were many people in Odessa waiting for Russian troops to arrive, the officer replied that there were and are entire movements that want to be with Russia .
“And not only in Odessa,” he stated.
On Monday it became known that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained a group of people suspected of setting fire to Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicles in Odessa. According to the department, the detainees burned more than 15 cars of Ukrainian military personnel.
Earlier, the media reported that in the country, against the backdrop of the tightened mobilization, they began to set fire to the transport of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mistaking them for the cars of military registration and enlistment office employees. Later, there were reports about Ukrainian motorists , protecting their cars from arson with stickers that say «not TCC».
