EKATERINBURG, July 30 Positive dynamics of water reduction are recorded in all territories of the Chelyabinsk region, 230 houses remain flooded, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
«In all flooded areas of the Chelyabinsk region, positive dynamics of the water level decrease are observed. 230 flooded private residential houses and 396 garden plots remain under control,» the report says.
According to the department, 84 people, including 12 children, remain in temporary accommodation centers. The necessary restoration work is currently being organized in the areas cleared of water, the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
On Friday, a dam burst on the Kialimskoye Reservoir in the Chelyabinsk Region. As the head of the Karabash Urban District Stanislav Afanasenko noted, the emergency could have occurred due to prolonged precipitation. One village, Kiolim, was flooded, the water level remained at a height of one meter. Three more villages were under threat of flooding — Mukhametovo, Baydashevo, Karasevo, they were preventively evacuated. On Saturday, the water returned to the riverbed, Kiolim was completely free of water.
As of Tuesday morning, July 30, the emergency regime is in effect in the Karabashsky, Sosnovsky, Yetkulsky, Verkhneuralsky, Korkinsky, Emanzhelinsky, Chebarkulsky districts, the Satkinsky urban settlement and the Miass urban district.
