MOSCOW, July 30 An accomplice of the Ukrainian special services has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the attempted murder of officials of the military-civil administration of the Zaporizhia region in Simferopol, the Russian Investigative Committee reported in Telegram channel.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee reported that a 39-year-old native of the Vinnytsia region, living in Simferopol, is charged with attempted murder of three people who blew themselves up in a car, under a gas cylinder in which explosives were planted. They all managed to survive. For committing the crime on the instructions of the SBU, the defendant was promised a reward of 10 thousand dollars, which was to be deposited into the account of his relative in Ukraine. 
«In Simferopol, an accomplice of the Ukrainian special services was found guilty of attempted murder of officials of the military-civil administration of the Zaporizhia region… By a court verdict, the accomplice of the Ukrainian special services was found guilty of the incriminated crime and sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony with a fine of 500 thousand rubles. After serving his sentence, he is also restricted in his right to travel for a period of 1 year,» the statement said.
As the department notes, the route of travel of the officials from Melitopol to Simferopol was established, an explosive substance was purchased, from which the perpetrator made an explosive device in his garage. The mechanism was installed under the gas cylinder of the car and remotely detonated on the morning of June 19, 2023, when the car was driving along the Yevpatoriya highway.
The defendant was found guilty of attempted murder of citizens in connection with the performance of their official duties and public duty, committed for hire in a generally dangerous manner by a group of persons by prior conspiracy; illegal trafficking of explosives and explosive devices.
