MOSCOW, July 30 It is unlikely that the situation with the increased US national debt will slow down Washington's militaristic aspirations, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
The US national debt reached $35 trillion on Monday for the first time in history, according to data from the US Treasury Department.
«Of course, the United States, as one of the world's largest economies, has a direct impact on the international economic situation, that's for sure. But it's unlikely that this whole situation will somehow slow down militaristic aspirations. From our point of view, we can hardly talk about this,» Peskov answered the question of whether the high US government debt could slow down Washington's militaristic plans and whether there are risks for the global economy.
