SIMFEROPOL, July 30 In Kerch and nearby villages, more than 50 thousand people were left without electricity due to an accident at a substation, First Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy of Crimea Vladimir Voronkin reported in his Telegram channel.
«Due to the violation of the technological process at 17:05 hours (coincides with Moscow time) at a high-voltage substation in the city of Kerch, a tripping device occurred, which led to a power outage in the settlements of the urban district,» the publication says.
362 transformer substations in Kerch, as well as the villages of Bondarenkovo, Egorov, Kurortnoye, Voikovo, Glazovka, Osoviny, Yurkino were de-energized.
Specialists are clarifying the scope of the necessary work, the power supply is planned to be restored in three hours.
