CAIRO, July 31 The head of the Palestinian Hamas politburo, Ismail Haniyeh, will be buried in Qatar on Friday after a farewell ceremony in Iran, the movement said.
On Wednesday, the Palestinian Hamas movement reported that Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli strike on his residence in the Iranian capital.
«The official farewell ceremony for Ismail Haniyeh will be held in Tehran on Thursday, August 1. After that, the body will be transported to the Qatari capital Doha on Thursday evening… the body will be buried on Friday, August 2, in the Qatari city of Lusail,» the movement said in a press release.
At the farewell ceremony in Doha, Hamas specifies, Arab and Islamic leaders, as well as members of Palestinian factions, will be present.
