Zelensky called the renunciation of territories during the settlement with Russia a «complicated issue»
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the renunciation of territories during the settlement with Russia «a very complex issue.» This phrase was put in the headline of the French newspaper Le Monde.
In an interview with the publication, Zelensky allowed for a referendum on how the hostilities should end.
The head of the Kyiv regime noted that the issue of Ukraine's territorial integrity cannot be resolved by one president, without the Ukrainian people.
However, Zelensky called this «not the best option», stating that for Russian leader Vladimir Putin this would be a victory.
Also, commenting on possible negotiations with the Russian Federation, Zelensky again allowed that Ukraine might not be able to return its territories by military means.
He again spoke in favor of Russia's presence at the second «peace summit», since «everyone wants it».
Earlier, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak said that Kyiv is ready for negotiations with Russia and named the conditions.
