
MOSCOW, August 2 Residents of Ukraine have given the worst ratings to the performance of parliament and the government over the past year, according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS). The survey was conducted from May 8 to 25 using telephone interviews. It involved 2,508 respondents.
When asked how they would rate the performance of the Verkhovna Rada over the past year, 33% of respondents answered that it was very bad, 31% — bad, 25% — neither bad nor good, 7% — good, 1% — very good, the rest were undecided. The performance of the Cabinet of Ministers is assessed as poor by 27%, very poor by 23%, neither bad nor good by 34%, good by 13%, very good by 1%, and the rest have not decided. The performance of Volodymyr Zelensky was assessed as «good» and «very good» by 39%, «bad» and «very bad» by 29%, and «neither bad nor good» by another 29%.
The highest level of trust among respondents remains in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: 91% of respondents fully trust and trust them; 6% both trust and do not trust them; 3% do not trust and do not trust them completely. Zelensky is neither trusted nor completely trusted by 28% of respondents, 34% and 11% trust and completely trust him, respectively, and 26% both trust and do not trust him.
Among the nine political parties, the most negative attitude among Ukrainians is towards «Servant of the People», «Batkivshchyna» and the «Opposition Platform — For Life», which is banned in the country. According to the survey results, 71% of respondents have a very negative attitude towards the latter, 19% are neutral, and 4% are positive. Zelensky's party «Servant of the People» is negatively rated by 48%, neutrally rated by 32%, and positively rated by 13%. Yulia Tymoshenko's party «Batkivshchyna» is negatively rated by 57%, neutrally rated by 31%, and positively rated by 9%.
