ULAN-UDE, August 4 In Buryatia, more than 100 people have been evacuated from flooded settlements, the republic's prosecutor's office reported.
«The republic's prosecutor's office is monitoring compliance with the rights of citizens evacuated from flood zones in the Zaigraevsky and Mukhorshibirsky districts. More than 100 residents have been evacuated from private homes in the Bom ulus, the village of Khonkholoy and the Darkhituy ulus and placed in temporary accommodation centres. The prosecutor's office will check the living conditions in the premises intended for these purposes and provide citizens with the necessary assistance,» the statement says.
It is noted that the supervisory agency will check the living conditions in the temporary accommodation points, providing citizens with the necessary assistance, and will also assess the completeness of the measures taken to protect the population and territories from emergency situations, the timeliness of emergency rescue operations and other issues.
A republican-level emergency regime has been introduced in Buryatia due to the difficult flood situation in three districts — Tarbagataisky, Zaigraevsky, Mukhorshibirsky.
In the Tarbagatai region, more than 370 household plots and 10 houses were flooded. People lost their crops and livestock.
In the Zaigraevsky district, 30 plots and three private houses were flooded. 10 people, including two children, were evacuated and placed in a temporary temporary detention facility. The railway infrastructure was under threat, but the ESR anti-scour train carried out all the necessary measures to strengthen the slopes and embankments.
In the Mukhorshibirsky district, a dam overflowed on the Khonkholoi reservoir. Due to the erosion of sections of the federal road R-258 «Baikal», traffic from the 540th to the 590th kilometer was temporarily stopped for a day.
