Athletes took part in the promotion of «Made in Russia» products

MOSCOW, August 3, During the year of the campaign of the Russian Export Center (part of VEB.RF) to promote the national brand «Made in Russia» under the slogan «Russian goods — for champions», famous Russian athletes of five disciplines took part in it, said the General Director of the REC Veronika Nikishina on August 3 at the «Made in Russia» regatta.
The event was held on the Rowing Canal in Moscow as part of the Russian Rowing Championship, organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the Rowing Federation of Russia.

«The new approach to promoting the Made in Russia brand in foreign markets is based on the synergy between domestic production, Russian exports and such areas as sports, culture and art. We already see that thanks to this integration, we are able to expand the audience of national stores on international marketplaces and in direct sales, the recognition of the Made in Russia brand among foreign buyers is increasing, and the popularity of our culture and sports is growing,» said Nikishina.

The “Made in Russia” regatta is aimed at increasing the recognition of Russian goods on the international stage and is part of a series of events held under the slogan “Russian goods for champions.” The first campaign started as part of the Eastern Economic Forum 2023. Successful events in this series made it possible to introduce Russian products to more than 67 million foreign buyers, and the volume of retail sales on international marketplaces under the “Made in Russia” brand exceeded 1 billion rubles. Russian athletes from such sports as rowing, curling, figure skating, basketball and hockey took part in the event.
«The popularity of the Made in Russia brand continues to grow. Today's regatta is one of the bright forms of promoting domestic goods on the foreign market, which everyone associates with excellent quality and confirms the integrity of the domestic manufacturer as a reliable supplier of quality products. This is happening thanks to everyone who makes efforts every day to promote Russia and Russian products to the highest positions,» said Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Inna Svyatenko.
The next event planned as part of the campaign has already been announced in the sports program of the VEF-2024. This will be the third international Vladivostok regatta, which will take place in the very center of Vladivostok and attract thousands of visitors.

“This time we have also planned joint activities with the Russian Export Center, we will treat Russian and foreign athletes with Russian export goods, and the winners will receive a special prize “Made in Russia,” said the President of the Russian Rowing Federation, 2004 Olympic champion Alexey Svirin.

As part of the “Russian Goods for Champions” campaign, exporting companies presented their products on the Rowing Canal.
Thus, the IceCro brand presented protein ice cream, cream fillings and berry sorbets according to GOST standards. The company also produces vegan products and ice cream with vitamins and probiotics.
The company already exports to the UAE, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. REC actively promotes the development of the company's export activities, providing comprehensive support for entering foreign markets. With the assistance of REC, negotiations are underway on presenting the company's products in national «Made in Russia» stores in China. In addition, thanks to the work of the agro-industrial complex pavilion in Dubai (a joint project of REC and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia), channels for selling products on the UAE market have been diversified: deliveries have been established to the warehouses of the local marketplace Prostor, and retail sales are expected to begin in August.

Abi also presented its products. In particular, products from the Foodgital plant-based line with 100% natural plant protein, the same taste as regular meat products. Currently, Abi exports products to 13 countries. In 2023, export volumes increased by 36% compared to 2022, with Kazakhstan becoming the leader in terms of shipment volume. The holding's products are certified «Made in Russia», which contributes to their recognition and promotion in foreign markets.

«Legenda Baikal» offered bottled water from the deepest lake on the planet. The company is actively represented in China with about 180 distributors. A store was opened on JD.com, the products are also presented in national «Made in Russia» stores on Chinese marketplaces. The volume of online sales for the first six months of 2024 amounted to about 25 million rubles.
«Gagarinskiye Manufaktura» presented sugar-free chocolate. Honey is used in the preparation, which is not heated above 45 °C to preserve its beneficial properties. The company's own apiary is located in the Penza region. Chocolate is exported to the countries of Kazakhstan and Belarus, and is also supplied to China and Singapore through the Lazada and Tmall marketplaces with the support of the REC partner. It is currently working on obtaining a «Made in Russia» certificate to expand promotion under the country brand.
We add that in parallel with the exhibition of Russian export goods on the Rowing Canal, rowing races for the REC Group Cup took place. They were attended by employees of embassies and foreign trade organizations from 14 countries, the Russian Export Center, representatives of the upper house of the Russian parliament, in particular, the participants included the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Andrei Yatskin, as well as exporters and famous athletes.
