MOSCOW, August 6 Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, as part of the work to achieve Russia's national development goals, will oversee the work on digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence, as well as issues of ensuring the digital maturity of public administration by 2030 and expanding broadband Internet connectivity, the Cabinet's website reports.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin gave instructions on the implementation of the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on national development goals until 2030 and for the long term until 2036. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers determined the deputy prime ministers, ministries and departments that will oversee this work, the Cabinet's website reports. Thus, deputy prime ministers will need to ensure technological independence in their areas of competence. In particular, Grigorenko will oversee this area «in the work on digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence.»
«Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Government Dmitry Grigorenko will oversee the achievement of digital maturity of state and municipal administration by 2030. The Deputy Prime Minister will also be responsible for increasing the share of households connected to broadband Internet,» the government website reports.
It is noted that by 2030 this share should reach 97%, and by 2036 — 99%.
«Achieving such indicators is part of the tasks of the national project «Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State.» The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media will solve them together with other ministries,» the Cabinet added.
