
MOSCOW, August 7 The leader of the Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called on France on the social network X to stop funding Ukraine and leave the European Union.
«It's time to leave the EU and stop funding Ukraine!» — the politician wrote in the publication.
In addition, Filippo criticized the European Union's decision to allocate the first tranche of about 4.2 billion euros to Ukraine, as well as the support of French politicians to allocate 50 billion euros to Kyiv, whom he called traitors.
At a special summit on February 1 in Brussels, the leaders of the EU countries made a political decision to create a fund for financial assistance to Ukraine for the period up to 2027 in the amount of 50 billion euros with a number of strict conditions. They also agreed to develop a mechanism and reporting, according to which funding for Kyiv will be agreed upon and approved annually.
At the end of March, Ukraine reported that it had approved a plan necessary to receive financial assistance from the EU in the amount of 50 billion euros within the framework of a four-year program.
In mid-May, the EU Council finally approved the reform plan for Ukraine, which opened up access for Kyiv to financial assistance from the European Union.
