Stellantis Corporation has announced prices for the electric versions of the Daytona muscle car Dodge Charger of the new generation — their production in the Canadian Windsor (Ontario) will begin before the end of summer, that is, in the coming days.
The premiere of the new Dodge Charger, built on the STLA Large platform, took place in March of this year, it replaced the old gasoline models Charger and Challenger. The new Charger will be offered with three-door and five-door liftback bodies (the three-door is positioned as a coupe due to its sporty image), and the power plants will be both gasoline and fully electric. Electric versions have the Daytona prefix to the main name.

The first to go on sale in the U.S. will be the 2024 model year electric three-doors — the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T and Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, both feature a 400-volt electrical architecture, a 100.5-kWh battery, a dual-motor powertrain, all-wheel drive, and come standard with the Direct Connection Stage 1 performance package. The Daytona Scat Pack also adds the Direct Connection Stage 2 performance package and the Track Package. These packages will likely be available at extra cost in the future (the Track Package, for sure). The overall length of the three-door is 5248 mm, width — 2027 mm, height — 1499 mm, wheelbase — 3073 mm.

The Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack accelerates to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and covers a quarter mile (402 m) in 11.5 seconds. The range on a single charge has not yet been disclosed.

In addition to the above-mentioned packages, the standard equipment of both versions includes the Uconnect 5 multimedia system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 506-watt Alpine audio system (9 speakers plus a subwoofer), front seats with electric adjustment and heating, a heated steering wheel and a rich set of electronic driver assistance systems, including automatic emergency braking and road sign recognition.
The Dodge Charger Daytona R/T is content with standard 245/55R18 tires. The Track Package, which is equipped with the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, includes larger wheels with 305/35 R 20 tires, powerful Brembo brakes, improved interior trim, more comfortable front seats with advanced settings and a high-definition video recorder, which can record races on the race track. The Track Package also includes specific driving modes, including a donut mode (allows you to spin laps while drifting on a small patch of ground), a three-level drift mode, a quick start mode, a tire warm-up mode, and a powertrain warm-up mode before a fast lap.
In addition, all electric versions of the Dodge Charger are equipped with a patented external dual-chamber electropneumatic acoustic «exhaust» system Fratzonic, which generates a dramatic sound of 126 dB during acceleration. Fortunately, this system can be disabled.
Dodge Charger Daytona will appear at American dealers in the fourth quarter of this year — by that time, apparently, all technical specifications will be revealed. Production of five-door versions of the Dodge Charger Daytona will begin in the first half of 2025, and the release of gasoline versions will begin in the second half of the same year.
