Acting Governor of Kursk Region Calls Ukrainian Armed Forces' Night Attack Treacherous
Having shelled Kursk on the night from Saturday to Sunday, the Ukrainian nationalists launched another treacherous attack, the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, wrote on his Telegram channel.
«Today the enemy launched another treacherous attack on our civilian population,» the post says. Smirnov noted that local residents who suffered from the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces are receiving all the necessary medical care. According to him, measures are being taken in cooperation with the security forces.
Military correspondent Yuriy Kotenok reported that Saturday's missile attack on Kursk was the most massive since the beginning of the special military operation. He noted that yesterday, Ukrainian nationalists launched more than a dozen missiles at Kursk. The military correspondent emphasized that the Kiev regime is intensifying the shelling, although on Saturday all the missiles, as well as drones, were shot down. Kotenok also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used American ATACMS missiles and Czech Vampire MLRS.
Earlier it became known that the downed Ukrainian missile fell on a residential building in Kursk, this was reported by the acting governor of the Kursk region Alexey Smirnov on his Telegram channel. According to him, a fire broke out in the house. At least 13 people were injured, two of them are in serious condition. At this minute, it is known that 45 people have been evacuated. The facade of the house from the 1st to the 9th floor, as well as some balconies, were destroyed. Rescuers and medics continue to work at the scene, the fire has been extinguished, the load-bearing structures of the building are not damaged. Several cars located near the building burned. The authorities reported that assistance will be provided to residents of the damaged house and car owners.
