
SAMARA, August 11 The driver of a passenger Gazelle lost consciousness and crashed into a UAZ car parked on the side of the road in the Samara Region, as a result of which four people were injured, the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia told journalists.
«According to preliminary information, today at 12:10 p.m. (11:10 a.m. Moscow time — ed.) on the «Approach to the city of Samara from the M-5 Ural» highway, at the 6th kilometer, a collision occurred between two GAZ and UAZ vehicles. The driver, born in 1962, driving a Gazelle (transporting 7 people), was moving in the direction of the village of Krasny Yar, lost consciousness and collided with a UAZ vehicle parked on the side of the road (transporting building materials) driven by a driver born in 1957,» the statement says.
According to the department, both drivers and two passengers of the Gazelle were taken to the hospital. Traffic on the section of the road where the accident occurred is partially blocked; police officers are working at the scene to determine all the circumstances of the accident.
