The Korean company revealed information about the “filling” of the coupe-like SUV: as it turned out, it shared the technology with the regular Torres.
SsangYong Motor officially became KG Mobility last spring. The current Torres crossover with a traditional body entered the market in 2022, a refreshed car for the 2024 model year was presented at the beginning of last September. The so-called “coupe-like” version was first revealed in February of this year. Later, its appearance was declassified, as well as its name — Actyon.

The name of the new KGM crossover (factory index — J120) will seem familiar to many, and for good reason. Under the name Actyon, the Korean manufacturer previously produced another SUV — in total, the model in two generations rolled off the assembly line from 2005 to 2017. Now the name has gone to the new product, which is now preparing to enter the market. It is worth noting that this SUV differs from Torres not only in the roof and stern line, but also in other elements of the exterior design.
The front part of the new Actyon received LED running lights in the form of curved lines, as well as a luminous panel connecting them, the pattern of which is made up of various strokes going in different directions. In addition, this crossover has different bumpers and differently designed rear lights, as well as differently designed rear pillars.

The interior of the KGM Actyon almost completely repeats the interior of the current Torres and its electric modification with the addition of EVX. Thus, the new product has the same front panel with a large horizontal display, which combines both the virtual instrument panel and the touchscreen of the infotainment system (the diagonal of each is 12.3 inches). The list of differences includes a different hexagonal steering wheel, as well as other materials used for finishing.

The list of standard equipment includes original 20-inch wheels, eight airbags, adaptive cruise control and dual-zone climate control. More expensive versions also have an electric tailgate, all-round cameras, as well as a number of additional security systems.
The overall length of the KGM Actyon is 4740 mm (35 mm more than the current Torres), width – 1910 mm (20 mm more), height – 1680 mm (40 mm less), and the distance between the axles is the same and is 2680 mm.

The “stuffing” of the new product is shared with the donor: under the hood of the KGM Actyon there is 1, 5-liter gasoline turbo-four, the output of which is 170 hp. This engine is paired with a non-alternative six-speed automatic transmission. Let us remind you that earlier in the Korean media the new Actyon was predicted to have a hybrid installation.

Brand dealers began collecting pre-orders on KGM Actyon last month, and in the first week over 35 thousand applications were received. Prices have become known only now: for the starting version in the home market they are asking 33.95 million won (equivalent to approximately 2.25 million rubles at the current exchange rate), and purchasing the top version will cost at least 36.49 million won (about 2.42 million rubles ).
