MOSCOW, August 12 Nizhny Novgorod footballer Maxim Shnaptsev has spoken out about rumors of his secret affair with Olympic figure skating champion Anna Shcherbakova.
Earlier, the super.ru portal reported that Shcherbakova has been in a relationship with Shnaptsev for over a year. They could have met in April 2023 at a Spartak football match. Shcherbakova and Shnaptsev flew to Dubai together last year, and this spring the couple was spotted in Moscow. The footballer confirmed that he has a girlfriend, but refused to name his lover. Shcherbakova herself denied the information about her relationship with Shnaptsev, stating that they did not have a serious relationship and that they have not communicated for a long time.
«I think we can quote her words: «There was something, but it was not serious.» Therefore, let's better refer to Anna. I will stick to my opinion, and let's not chew over this topic. When the time comes, everything will become clear,» Shnaptsev said in an interview with the portal championat.com.
