TYUMEN, August 15 Two residents of the Tyumen region were sent into custody for preparing to commit a terrorist attack in Tobolsk, reports the press service of the regional department of the RF Investigative Committee.
On Thursday, the FSB announced the prevention of a terrorist attack in Tobolsk, which was going to be carried out by two supporters of the ideology of mass murder.< br />
«Two residents of the region have been charged with committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 30, subparagraph «a» of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation to commit a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior conspiracy). At the request of the investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to both accused,” the message said.
According to the investigation, no later than August 9, the defendants entered into a criminal conspiracy with an unidentified person via a messenger with the aim of blowing up the administrative building of the internal affairs agencies in Tobolsk, made Molotov cocktails and a homemade explosive device. They were unable to complete their criminal intent, as they were detained.
Two homemade incendiary devices and a homemade explosive device were found in the cache. During the inspection of the place of residence of the accused, components necessary for the manufacture of explosive devices were found, their phones contained the corresponding instructions, as well as video recordings of their tests, the accused were interrogated, and a series of examinations were ordered.
