WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 The U.S. State Department has approved the sale to Italy of six MQ-9 reconnaissance and attack drones, control stations, radars and additional equipment for $738 million, the Pentagon said.
«The State Department has determined to approve a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Italy of MQ-9 Block 5 aircraft and related equipment in the amount of $738 million,» the department said in a statement.
According to the Pentagon, along with six drones, Italy will also receive three ground control stations for them, nine radars with the ability to monitor the sea space and other related equipment.
