MOSCOW, August 15 The Soyuz-2.1a rocket launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome with the Progress MS-28 cargo ship, which is scheduled to go to the International Space Station (ISS); Roscosmos is broadcasting the launch.
The ship is expected to separate from the third stage of the rocket 8 minutes and 49 seconds after launch.
The ship will fly according to the traditional two-day scheme and dock with the Zvezda module of the Russian segment of the ISS at 8.56 Moscow time on August 17. The duration of the Progress MS-28 flight is expected to be 179 days.

The ship will deliver more than 2.6 tons of cargo to the station, including 1.2 tons of dry cargo for the station's systems and the ISS crew. As specified by Roscosmos, equipment for the experiments Aseptic, Biodegradation, Virtual, Endurance, Lazma, All-Sky Monitor, Neuroimmunity, and Photobioreactor will be sent into orbit.

In addition, the Progress spacecraft is carrying 950 kilograms of fuel to refuel the station, 420 kilograms of drinking water, and 50 kilograms of nitrogen to replenish the ISS atmosphere.
