Non-refundable rate may be introduced in Russian hotels.
A non-refundable rate may be introduced in Russian hotels, while the refundable rate will remain, TASS writes.
The bill was prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development and posted on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
According to it, the customer can choose a non-refundable rate. When using it, the hotel (or any other hotel service provider) has the right to retain the entire amount paid, even if the client never uses the room.
The new rate will be an alternative to the standard refundable booking. At the same time, the non-refundable rate will be cheaper, that is, when using it, you can save money compared to the standard rate.
There are circumstances in which you can get your money back even when using a non-refundable rate. Such cases include your own illness or the illness of a family member or close relative included in the booking. In addition, the reason may be the illness of a family member or close relative requiring care from the customer, or his death. In this case, all facts will have to be confirmed by documents.
In addition, the basis for a refund at a non-refundable rate will be the introduction of a high alert regime or emergency situation throughout the territory of the Russian Federation or at the location of the accommodation facility, the call-up of any of the persons included in the booking for military service by mobilization or assignment to service under a contract.
