Over the past 24 hours, 29 wildfires have been extinguished in nine regions of Russia, covering an area of more than 27 thousand hectares, Avialesookhrana reported.
According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, by midnight on Sunday, special services had extinguished 190 forest fires on an area of 400,220 hectares, RIA Novosti reports.
The largest area of fires was recorded in Yakutia – 64 fires were fought there on 324,244 hectares.
