MOSCOW, August 18 On the initiative of the Samara Region government, a batch of special equipment and vehicles was sent to the special military operation (SMO) zone on Sunday. They will be received by a motorized rifle unit of the combined arms army and a special forces unit of the Central Military District, where Samara fighters serve, the press service of the regional government reports.
As Acting Governor of the Samara Region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev noted, the region's support for the army will be increased. 
130 UAVs, spare parts for drones, electronic equipment, five Niva Travel vehicles and five UAZ vehicles modified to meet the needs of the defenders of the Fatherland were sent from Samara to the special military operation zone. The list of special equipment was formed based on requests from commanders.
«After your trip to the SMO zone, all requests left by commanders were fulfilled,» the governor's adviser Andrei Kolotovkin reported to Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, his words are quoted by the press service.
It is specified that the commanders of the military units thanked the government of the Samara region for the assistance, noting that all the equipment is very necessary and effective. Fedorishchev emphasized that the comprehensive support of the army by the regional government will continue and will become even more extensive.
«This is another step and there will be many of them. Another batch of special equipment has already been prepared, we will transfer it as quickly as possible. We are now centralizing purchases, we will purchase more. Tell us what you need. The task is to move towards victory as quickly as possible. We will do everything that depends on us, to help,» Fedorishchev said, communicating with the commanders of military units. 
The press service clarified that the Zvezda i Lira Foundation prepared 100 UAVs for delivery to the front. These are modified attack drones manufactured by Samara developers. As the general director of the fund, Maxim Smirnov, told the head of the region, the UAVs are being developed taking into account the wishes and requests of the soldiers, which allows for a significant increase in the efficiency of the equipment and the successful completion of combat missions.
The acting governor thanked the fund for supporting the army. «Thank you to the fund and all the guys who are preparing the drones. We will support this work so that there is an opportunity to make more drones. There is never too much here. What is needed from us — tell us, we will help,» said Fedorishchev.
