KYIV, January 1 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated France on the beginning of the presidency of the Council of the European Union and said that Kiev counts on the support of Ukraine's European aspirations and further deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, including in the field of security. France will assume the duties of the President of the Council of the European Union for the next six months from January 1, 2022, replacing Slovenia. «Congratulations to Emmanuel Macron with the beginning of the French presidency of the EU Council.
