BERLIN, Jan 3 German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in January , said the BILD tabloid with reference to its own information. As the tabloid writes, Social Democrat Scholz would like to take an active part in politics towards Russia — the German Foreign Ministry is headed by Scholz's coalition partner Annalena Berbock from the Green Party. Since her appointment to the post of minister in early December, Berbock has made a number of harsh statements about Moscow. According to BILD, citing an unnamed source, the German chancellor wanted a «quality new relationship» with Moscow.
