The passport becomes invalid when information, marks or entries not provided for by the legislation are entered into it, said Dmitry Sergienko, head of the migration department of the Moscow GUMVD, in an interview with Vechernyaya Moskva. According to him, the document ceases to be usable in case of violation of the elements protection of the form, as well as in the presence of damage that violates the integrity of the passport form. «The latter can be attributed to the absence of a page or part of it, intended for making marks,» — explained Sergienko. «When it is impossible to visually determine unambiguously the content of all or some of the information specified in the passport», — the interlocutor of the newspaper clarified. Sergienko concluded that in such cases the passport must be replaced.
