Ukrainians bought over 103 thousand new cars.
For the first time since 2013 over 100 thousand new cars were sold in Ukraine. Moreover, sales have been growing since the beginning of the year, Chronicle.info reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
In the last month of 2021, the market grew by 7 percent compared to last year's December. In total, 103.3 thousand new cars were sold last year, which is 21% more than in 2020.
At the same time, in 2021, only three out of twelve months showed negative dynamics on an annualized basis: January (-19%), February (-9%) and October (-6%). Growth was shown in March (+ 45%), April (+ 174%), May (+ 43%), June (+ 21%), July (+ 16%), August (+ 22%), September (+24 )%), November (+ 22%) and December (+ 7%).
At the end of the year, Toyota took the first place in the ranking of brands in the new passenger car market: 15,232 sold cars (+ 14% to last year). The most popular model is the compact crossover Toyota RAV4: 6066 cars.
In second place is Renault & # 8212; 13475 cars (-6%), Renault Duster became the leader of the brand (5602 registrations).
Kia has the third result — 9138 units. (+ 50% by 2020). The lion's share of the Korean brand's sales fell on the Sportage crossover, which was chosen by 7124 buyers.
The Ukrainians gave fourth place to Skoda (6172 cars, + 22%), and Nissan closes the top five (4815 registrations, + 26%).
Hyundai (4797 units, + 19%), Chery (4653 units, + 136%), Mitsubishi (4220 units, + 76%), Volkswagen (4120 units ., + 12%) and Suzuki (3769 units, + 27%).
Kia Sportage became the best-selling car on the Ukrainian market in 2021.
