MOSCOW, Jan 7 Poet and writer Alexander Timofeevsky died at the age of 88. Film critic Sergei Kapkov reported this on Facebook. «He was not only a poet published and beloved by many, he was a real figure in animation films. He worked as an editor at Soyuzmultfilm and Ekran, punched and defended other people's scripts, wrote his own, composed lyrics . «Let them run awkwardly» has become the anthem of the birthday of every Soviet person, «noted Kapkov. Timofeevsky was born on November 13, 1933 in Moscow. In 1958 he graduated from the screenwriting department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. From 1963 to 1983 he worked as an editor at the Soyuzmultfilm studio, wrote scripts and songs for cartoons, in particular, the famous crocodile Gena's song “Let them run awkwardly”.
