MOSCOW, Jan 12 The FIA will investigate The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix of Formula 1, its results will be summed up no later than the beginning of February, according to Sky Sports. The race for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final stage of the 2021 season, took place on December 12. The winner was the Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who overtook the Briton Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes on the last lap. Thanks to the victory, Verstappen won the world title. Mercedes tried to challenge the race results due to possible violations of the rules by the Dutchman. According to Sky Sports, an official investigation began on Monday. The investigation team, led by FIA Secretary General Peter Bayer, plans to interview everyone who was involved in one way or another in the conflict, including race director Michael Masi, stewards, riders and team representatives. The new FIA President, Mohammed bin Sulayem, is personally involved in the investigation, and the investigation is expected to be completed by the next meeting of the World Motor Sport Council, which will take place no later than February 3rd. Sky Sport also reports that the continuation of British Lewis Hamilton's career in Formula 1 depends on the conclusions of the FIA. The first race of the 2022 season will take place on March 20 in Bahrain.
