MOSCOW, 12 Jan. Arbiter Janni Sikazve twice prematurely blew the final whistle about the end Tunisia vs. Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations group stage match between Mali and Tunisia. Mali beat Tunisia 1-0 in Group F on Wednesday in Limbe, Cameroon. At the 85th minute, Sikazwe announced the end of the meeting. Looking at his watch, he reversed his decision and the game continued. After that, the referee blew the final whistle in the 89th minute. After the whistle, the players and the coaching staff of the Tunisian national team pounced on Sikazve and the referee team. To ensure safety, the guards had to intervene. The teams went into the room under the stands. Later, the African Confederation of Football (CAF) asked the national teams to finish the match, but the Tunisian national team players refused to enter the field. The Tunisian Football Federation on its Twitter page demanded to cancel the result and replay the meeting. During the game, two penalties were awarded, one player was sent off, the video assistance system was used twice and nine substitutions were made. Previously, the players of the Mali national team were forced to suspend training before the match with the Tunisian team due to the shootout of Cameroon government forces with the separatists.
