MOSCOW, Jan 16 Two-time world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva on Instagram congratulated the Russians Kamila Valieva, Anna Shcherbakova and Alexandra Trusova on winning medals in women's single skating at the European Championships, which took place in Tallinn. The tournament ended on Saturday. According to the results of two programs, Valieva became the winner. The second and third places were taken by Shcherbakova and Trusova, respectively. Medvedeva posted a photo of the final table of the European Championship with the caption: “How strong you are. Congratulations!” Valieva spends her first season at the adult level. The 15-year-old figure skater became the champion of Russia, the winner of the Grand Prix series in Russia and Canada, as well as the Challenger series tournament in Finland. 17-year-old Shcherbakova, who broke her personal record for the number of points in the free program (previous achievement — 165.05), won the stages of the Grand Prix series in France and Italy, and also became the bronze medalist of the Russian championship. Trusova, her age, won the gold of the Grand Prix series in the USA and the silver of the Russian championship.
