According to him, this year the heating season in the city is extremely difficult. «The heating season is extremely difficult, the price of gas crazy… Tariffs remained the same, but they introduced additional payments for transportation, heating. And this worries people,» the mayor complained. In autumn, an energy crisis erupted in the country due to a shortage of fuel, which is necessary, in particular, for generating electricity. Among other things, this is due to a sharp increase in gas prices, as well as a shortage of coal, which stopped more than half of Ukrainian thermal power plants.According to Democracy House analyst Anatoly Oktisyuk, the key threat to Ukrainians this year will be the energy crisis, which will exacerbate other problems and lead to protests.
