MOSCOW, Jan 21 Russian chess player Andrey Esipenko played a draw with black pieces against his compatriot Daniil Dubov in the sixth round of the tournament in the Dutch city of Wijk aan Zee. In other games, Russian Sergey Karjakin defeated the Dutchman Jorden van Forest with white pieces, and the reigning world champion Norwegian Magnus Carlsen beat Hungarian Richard Rapport with white pieces. After six rounds, Carlsen, the Azerbaijani, are leading Shakhriyar Mamedyarov and Indian Vidit Santosh, who have 4 points each. Esipenko is fourth with 3.5 points, Karjakin is eighth (3), Dubov is ninth (2.5). The 84th tournament in Wijk aan Zee will end on January 30th. The competition is attended by 14 chess players who will hold a one-round tournament (13 rounds).
