MOSCOW, Jan 27 Brazilian skier Bruna Moura was in a car accident and will be able to take part in the Winter Olympics in Beijing, Globo reports with reference to the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB). The incident occurred near the city of Obervintl in Italy. The athlete was heading to Germany from Austria, where she qualified for the Olympics, but was in quarantine due to a positive test for coronavirus. The driver made a dangerous overtaking on the road and crashed into a truck. With fractures to her foot, arm, three ribs and left shoulder, Moura, who was seated in the back seat wearing a seat belt, was taken by helicopter to the hospital. The driver died. «I was in the back seat and was wearing a seatbelt. The doctors said it saved me. I won't go to the Winter Olympics, but I'm alive,» said 27-year-old Bruna. The Olympics will be held from February 4 to 20.
