MOSCOW, Jan 27 Ferencváros lost away to Puskas Academy in a rescheduled match of the fourth round of the Hungarian football championship. The meeting, held in Felchuta, ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the hosts. The only goal was scored by Joao Nunes in the fourth stoppage minute to the first half. In the 24th minute, Ferencvaros midfielder Muhamed Besic was removed from the field for a second yellow card. The match was the first official match for Russian Stanislav Cherchesov as Ferencvaros head coach. He was appointed to this position on December 20, 2021. From 2016 to 2021, the specialist headed the Russian national team and led the team to the quarterfinals at the 2018 home world championship. Cherchesov led Legia Warsaw to victory in the championship and the Polish Cup in 2016. In the standings of the Hungarian championship, Ferencváros is in the lead with 35 points in 17 matches. Puskas Academy is in third place (34 points). In the next round, Cherchesov's team will play away with Ujpest on January 30.
