MOSCOW, Jan 27 Ex-Formula 1 driver Finnish race car driver Kimi Raikkonen, who ended his career in the «royal races» last December, took over as team leader of the Kawasaki Racing Team at the Motocross World Championship, according to the official website of F-1. 2007 world champion Raikkonen will lead the team along with his old motocross colleague, former Finnish racer Antti Pirhonen. «It's no secret that motocross has been one of my biggest passions in life for many years. But this team can't be called a hobby — everything is very serious, we strive to be the best,» said the 42-year-old Finn. Raikkonen made his Formula 1 debut at the 2001 Australian Grand Prix and spent 19 seasons in the championship (in 2010-2011, the Finn competed in rallies). He played for the team «Sauber», «McLaren», «Ferrari», with which he became the champion, as well as «Lotus» and «Alfa Romeo». The Finn has 21 wins, 18 pole positions and 103 podium finishes.
